Roll-Off Services
Benefits of Allied Waste’s Roll-Off Waste Services

Sanitary – all waste is kept in a single, open receptacle until it is collected by automated trucks.

Reduces fire hazard – depositing waste in an open all-steel container helps diminish the likelihood of accidental fires.

Saves labor – workers dump wastes into a large, conveniently located container…no bags to fuss with, no mess to clean up.

Aids pest control – with waste enclosed in a steel container, insects, rodents and other pests are less likely to be attracted.

Conversion Table for Cubic Yard Volume (Approx.)

One cubic yard is equal to 27 cubic feet and approximately:

  • 203 gallons
  • Four 55-gallon drums
  • Eleven 20-gallon cans
  • Seven 30-gallon cans

Calculation:
To find container capacity in cubic yards:
Formula:

L x W x H (ft)
         27

= Cubic Yards

High Volume Waste

The high-capacity steel boxes used in this waste collection system can be hand-fed, chute-fed or hopper-fed. Also, large rear doors can be opened to accommodate fork lifts for depositing extremely bulky or heavy materials. Full containers are replaced with empty ones on a pre-determined schedule or on an as-needed basis.

Roll-off Services

All of the following industries can benefit from the Roll-Off Systems that we offer:

  • Manufacturing
  • Major retail
  • High schools and colleges
  • Hotels and convention centers
  • Warehouses
  • Any other large volume/high density producer.

Allied Waste roll-off container systems let you safely and easily store waste as it accumulates. And since waste is stored in all-steel boxes, the risk of fire hazards is greatly reduced.

Compactors are available from as small as 12 cu. yards to as large as 60 cu. yards. Each compactor installation is unique. Allow our highly trained specialists to put a plan together for you.

Our Roll-Off Systems handle compactable waste using enclosed containers sized to customer needs. Many sizes of compactors are available on a lease program.

Stationary Compactor

A stationary compactor is commonly known as a breakaway because the actual compactor is mounted to the ground, while the container is detachable. When the container is hauled to the landfill, the compactor stays in place. A chute through the wall installation is utilized.

39-Yard Self Contained Compactor

A 39 yd self-contained compactor is used in applications with wet, sloppy waste like hi-volume restaurants, or in places where leakage is a problem. Grocery stores that have large quantities of produce or meat throwaways use these types of compactors. Slightly below grade installation.

39-Yard Locked Doghouse

A locked doghouse on the 39 yd self-contained compactor is used when unauthorized access or children might be a concern.  (This keeps persons from retrieving a toy or merchandise that is inside the compactor.)

39-Yard Painted

A 39 yd self-contained compactor can be painted in customer requested colors; dock installation.  The unit is sealed and self-contained to avoid leakage and odors.`

FEL VIP Compactor

A FEL VIP compactor provides higher volume storage capacity and is ideal for restaurants, small factories, hotels, etc., where space limitations exist. Available in smaller sizes (typically either 4 yd, 6 yd or 8 yd capacities), it is dumped in place by a front load commercial truck rather than hauled to the landfill like a roll-off compactor.

Blower

An enclosed dock install with a cyclone blower feed system drops paper and trash into the compactor this way. The compactor is stationary with a 40 yd container attached.
